rt-tests software package provides Test programs for rt kernels, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rt-tests
rt-tests is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rt-tests package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rt-tests *
You will get with rt-tests package name, version, architecture and description in a table
